Othership on Adelaide
At the corner of Adelaide and Brant, Othership on Adelaide invites wellness seekers, downtown professionals, and curious first-timers into a space where sauna, ice bath, and breathwork combine in a sensory-driven experience. Founded by Robbie Bent and his partners after years of hosting small garage-based sessions, the concept has grown into a flagship destination built around presence, community, and ritual.
The design sets the tone immediately. Cedar walls release their natural aroma, while amber lighting softens the edges of the room. Sessions unfold in a sequence that moves from a 50 to 100 person cedar sauna to private ice baths cooled between 0°C and 4°C, before winding down in a tranquil tea lounge. The intention is to create a rhythm that resets the nervous system, uplifts mood, and deepens connection with others.
Programming adapts to different needs. Instructor-led sessions include “Up,” designed for energy and focus, “Down,” intended for relaxation, and “All Around,” which combines both. For those who prefer autonomy, free flow hours allow personal pacing, and themed social nights offer a sober alternative to bars or clubs.
Othership has quickly become known as a cultural anchor for Toronto’s evolving wellness scene. Guests come not only for physical recovery but also for the opportunity to share stillness and vulnerability in a safe, supportive setting. It functions as both a personal practice and a communal gathering, transforming how people experience health, leisure, and connection in the heart of the city.
