Waterworks Food Hall

Waterworks Food Hall

Housed in a restored 1930s water maintenance building at 505 Richmond Street West, Waterworks Food Hall merges heritage architecture with a next-generation dining experience. The building’s industrial bones, including soaring steel beams, original brick walls, and expansive factory-style windows, frame a space that feels at once historic and contemporary.

Inside, more than 20 vendors serve an eclectic mix of local and global cuisines. Visitors can move from artisanal bakeries and specialty coffee counters to fresh seafood stalls, Asian fusion kitchens, gourmet sandwich shops, and plant-forward concepts. Open-concept kitchens allow you to watch dishes come together, adding a sense of theatre to each order.

The layout encourages lingering. Communal tables, warm wood accents, and thoughtfully designed lighting create a space equally suited to a quick lunch or a slow afternoon of sampling and conversation. By day, laptops and lattes fill the air with a steady hum. By evening, shared plates, wine glasses, and music turn the hall into a lively dinner destination.

Waterworks Food Hall is part of the larger Waterworks development, which includes residences, office space, and direct access to St. Andrew’s Park. This integration makes the food hall more than a dining venue. It is a community anchor that draws both neighborhood regulars and visitors from across the city.

Whether you are meeting friends for an unhurried meal, grabbing something between meetings, or exploring King West’s evolving culinary landscape, Waterworks Food Hall offers a snapshot of Toronto’s food culture under one beautifully preserved roof.
